    Audio Cd Repair
We had accidentally 'cracked' down the middle, an AUDIO CD

It LOOKS like it could be 'glued' together somehow, but we won't do this!

IS THERE any way to repair these kinds of mishaps?

    If not, why?

    Thanks

It's not really clever to ever put a broken CD into a CD player, even if you have fixed it pretty well it will be a lot weaker along the crack and when spinning at high speeds it will fly apart and it will damage your player.

Also, information will be lost along the crack in small fragments, and it will never play at the same quality as before. Minor scratches and things can be repaired, as it is only the plastic that is damaged and not the data-holding metal. But in the case of a big crack, there's little you can do, and it will fly apart and break your player too.
