    Do I need a crown lenthing
    I have been having few root canal. Now I have gone to the dentisits and was refrral to a surgen for a crawn lenthing. I much rather have it pulled out. But the said my upper tooth will shipt. Do I really have to get a crawn?

    If your tooth can be saved, please do it. I've never met anyone who regretted saving a tooth, no matter what it took, but I've met plenty who regretted allowing teeth to be pulled.

    One lost tooth has a knock-on effect. Your jaw bone will start to receed away from the missing tooth, and this can endanger the teeth on either side. That missing tooth will make it hard to chew on one side, so the other side will have to do more chewing which can result in imbalance and more damage.

    If a crown can save your tooth, please do it.

    I've had a crown lengthening and it went very well. I know the thought of it is not pleasant but you are sedated so you really don't remember much of it.
    I agree with Eileen, usually better to save the tooth if possible.

    I have moved it over to the dentist section, you posted this in weight loss, so maybe in the right section you can get additional answers also.

    Is there money issues ? Over the years I have had to have teeth pulled since I could not afford anything else

    It's definitely best to do what you can to save the tooth if you can afford it. You may not have to have the tooth removed at this point. Why is the dentist recommending a crown? Is it because the tooth has had a root canal? Has a large filling that keeps breaking?
    You could always get a second opinion from another dentist in town that a friend or family member sees and is happy with.
