    Pool pump shorts out
My pool pumps trips the breaker. I reset the breaker. It runs for a few seconds and it trips it again. I checked the connections and everything is fine. Opened up the switch to confirm that there wasn't any exposed wires, none.

    Any suggestions?

Could be any number of things. You are going to need to use a Volt/Ohm meter to find the problem. It could be as simple as a bad start capacitor on the motor. Let me know if you have a VOM and I can get you headed in the right direction.

Also check to see if you have any water leakage between the pump and motor.
