    Whirlpool Duet Dryer won't heat
I opened it up and found a dime touching one of the heat fuse terminals and the screw that holds it down shorting it out. I replaced the fuse and I also reset the breaker and I still do not get any heat. Could the short have caused a problem somewhere else?

    Thanks

Yes. You will have to check the rest of the heating circuit (fuses and element) for continuity. Keep it simple.

The heating circuit all checked out for continuity. I vacuumed out the inside of the dryer made sure all the connections were good and plugged in and I had heat so I hooked up the vent hose and did a load of laundry, put the wet sheets in the dryer and again no heat.
I had heat now none. Frustrating.

I tested the Cut Off, High Limit Thermostat and Element they all tested fine but I replaced all of those as well as the Thermistor and still no heat. I checked power coming in and I have 240v.

    What next? Thanks

I am planning on purchasing the whirlpool duet steam washer/dryer set today. In doing the research someone told me that you need to have a 6" vent pipe in either alluminum or flexible. My current vent is 4" and it is in the basement. Cutting a larger vent hole to the outdoors will be difficult...

Whirlpool duet dryer rattle [ 1 Answers ]

My Whirlpool Duet dryer started making a rattling noise. It's coming from the back of the dryer around where the duct attaches. It is not constant but pretty frequent. We stuck something under the duct at the connection point which has minimized the noise a little, but has not stopped it. I'd hate...
