What is a liquid greater than PH 7?

I thought all PH above 7 were solids or am I just wrong?:confused:

Higher than 7 is a base, lower than 7 is an acid.
If a liquid is solid, that just means it's frozen. So: water = liquid, ice = solid.

Well, I wouldn't say frozen. You wouldn't say that steel is frozen - but it is still solid :)

Alkaline and base mean the same thing.

The pH scale is a way of quantifying the concentration of H+ ions in solution. It stands for "puissance d'hydrogen" or "power of hydrogen"

Sorry, just have to clear this up.

Although "Alkali" and "Base" are often used interchangeably, not all bases are alkaline.

For example, Ammonia is not an alkali, but is a base.

However, all alkalis ARE basic, it's just that not all bases are alkaline.
