    trane model 4tee3f31b1000a
I am in the process of installing a new Trane AC system at my condo. This will be a split system. I currently have a 2 ton trane that was installed in 2002 and is just sufficient. I have 1400 sf bottom floor of a 12 story cement condo located on the ocean NE exposure (corner unit). The two lines are approximately 120' long measuring 5/16" and 3/4". I have 26" of depth X 24" of width and 44" of heigth to work with for the air handler. I am looking to upgrade to a unit that will gie me all of the credits and rebates available (anything from Trane - FPL rebate and Tax Credit). We want a digital programmable thermostat. We are never gone more that 10 days to 2 week so your suggestion on a humidstat would be appreciated. I have talked with Trane dealers but get different conflicting information which is confusing. I am ready to pruchase, just need some good input. For example, how much coolint am I going to loose in a 120' run (verticle) with a 5/16" line for one. I don't want to go too large - I think 2 1/2 tone is plenty big especially with any loss I might expect to see with the long run. Is there an advantage to the variable speed fan motor. We are shopping price however we want something efficient. We are in our 60's and are preparing for retirement and want the right unit. Hopefully we can get 10 years being on the ocean. Also looking for a 10 year parts and labor warranty. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks! Jim
