Last winter I replaced a dying furnace. In a rush to get heat pumping out we did not wire the A/C to the new furnace.

Of course, I forgot to do that this spring and now need the A/C

I have a four wire line running from the Honeywell digital thermometer. W, R, G, Y. Thermostat works fine. Furnace fan kicks in on the cool setting. The compressor just isn't kicking in. I have checked the main breaker and the power disconnect on the outside of the house. Both appear to be fine.

I have been unable to find online information on my furnace and have not been able to locate the manual which came with the furnace. I have an International Comfort Products model H9MPD075F12C2.

Is there other wiring besides the thermostat wires I'm missing? This is an old house and there are more wires near the furnace. There is a thicker white wire which was cut off and capped with a wire nut (could have been done when I installed the furnace with my friend,) and another four wire cable which I think is from a much older furnace/thermostat installation.

Any ideas what I'm missing?

Should be 2 wires going to the outdoor unit.
