    history antique tea set
My Mother-in-law gave me an antique tea set. I am wondering how old it is and what the value of the set is: The tea/coffee pot is tall and slender. The bottom has 3 small dimonds with the letters S S and maybe C inside of the dimonds. Chippendale appears above the dimonds and there is a small w d wedged between the dimonds. Electroplate and 18% base - nichol silver and pat 1914 and 32 oz that is what is on the bottom.
It has an engraved pattern and the lid is hidged. Matching tray, creamer and sugar bowl all with the same engraved pattern. I hope you can help me with some information on this set

    Thanks

We really can't help much without a picture of the set, and even then it would be best to have it appraised, first hand, so it can be inspected by a qualified jeweller.

    Hi, MariHarvey!

So, it's a three piece set and you would like some history and an idea as to the possibilities as to the monetary value of it. Correct?

True, that if you're looking for some kind of officially appraised value, that can't happen here. However, we can give someone ideas as to the possible value of collectibles as well as the history of them.

No guarantees. But, we can try!

    Thanks!
