    Spotting and the pill
    Hello!
    This is going to take me a minute to explain but I've been on a birth control pill for 20 days. I started the pack on the first day of my period. On the 18th day of taking it I started to have a dark discharge. Which I assumed was blood from my last period since it only lasted 4 days when it usually lasts 7 days. On the 19th day I saw blood which I assumed to be spotting. Now on the 20th day I've had this spotting too. And all three days I've had terrible cramps. This is my first time ever on the pill.
    So what I wanted to know is,
    Is this normal?
    Is this a period or spotting?
    Does spotting really last this long?
    I'm just curious as to how my body works. I like to know these things.

    Oh yeah,
    And there are 28 pills per pack.
    I still have four more "active pills" after day 20. And there are 4 white pills.

    Just some extra info.
