3 amp barrel diodes Radio Shack kill switch
I built a kill switch as outlined in this post. It appears that I have done something wrong. Please clarify which side of the diode "band" should be connected to the ground side and which should be connected to the magneto side? The diodes that I purchased have a silver "band" about 1/8 inch wide. There is a black "band" with codes about 1/4 inch wide. Which one should be connected toward the ground connection?

    Thanks,

    Tom

I can't figure what post your talking about.

In order for current to flow, the silver band must be connected to the more negative potential (i.e. ground)

Are you trying to build an "OR" gate?
