    Furnace and AC not running
Both the furnace and the ac are not running although the display on the thermostat looks like it should be. I called Honeywell (the maker of the thermostat and they had me do a couple of tests and they said it was not the thermostat. Any suggestions?

Transformer, or small fuse in the furnace. Does the fan work? On the fan on position?

No the fan does not work when the thermostat is in the "Fan On" position. It seems like thermostat is not communication with BOTH the Furnace and the ac unit. It shows they should be running but nothing is happening with either one.

Did you check the fuse and the breaker to your furnace?

I checked the breaker for the furnace on the main breaker box and it was in the on position. I even switched it off for a few minutes and then back on again but nothing happened. I'm not sure what or where the fuse is in the furnace but would check if you could point me in the right direction. Would a fuse problem in the furnace make the ac not run as well?

There may be a round fuse at the switch box on the side of the furnace, follow the power wire to the unit to find it. Also in the bottom door of the furnace there should be a control board with a 3 amp car type fuse in it. Not all units have this.

I found a round Honeywell (the same maker as the thermostat) breaker on the furnace. How do I tell if there is a problem
