Hester = married someone she didn't love, adultery, betrayal of her husband, is rashly impulsive, is secretive (won't reveal lover's name)

oh yeah... and for dimmesdale you could also say he was a hyprocrite. Because he was suppose to be a preacher and yet he didn't confess his sin because he didn't want to ruin his image

I'm going to be busy watching American Idol for the next hour. While I'm gone, I want you to write down sins or supposed sins (by the village's estimation) for each person. Also, write down the village's sins.

Then take another clean sheet of paper and put Puritan at the top. Fold the page in half, put Negative and Positive at the top of each column, and then in each column write down short phrases to describe positive and negative characteristics of the Puritan religion.

Use these as references for your adjectives and short phrases --

The Scarlet Letter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    SparkNotes: The Scarlet Letter: Context

Puritan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DO NOT COPY SENTENCES!! Do not plagiarize!! We are not writing the paper yet. We are getting organized.

Did you do what I had asked?

If you follow my directions, this paper will write itself.
