Fixing leaking washing machine water valves
I am installing a new washing machine and the valve is leaking from the base - not from where the hoses attach and not from the handles you turn the water on and off with.
    Please help!

If it's a threaded valve then you have to shut off the main water supply to the house and unscrew the valve, make sure you use two wrenches so you can back up the fitting the valve is screwed onto so you don't break anything in the wall. Teflon the threads and reinstall the valve, turn on the water supply and check for leaks. Goodluck! ----zeke----
