Can we use Form 2555 and/or Form 1116
My son's fiancé arrived in US in June 2009 on K-1 Visa. Previously (for several years) she had lived and worked in her native country, Spain. They married in August and she began work (self-employed) in November after getting her green card.
They will file married filing jointly since she is resident alien. Can they file form 2555 to exclude her foreign income (earned from Jan 09 through May 09 before she arrived in US)? What about form 1116 to exclude the taxes she paid to her native country?
Any help with information on how to file would be appreciated.

Form 2555 is for excluding earned income.
If you are unable to exclude earned income, you can claim foreign tax credit by filing Form 1116. Also for income other than earned income, you can file Form 1116. Your U.S. Tax Return: U.S. Citizen or Resident with Foreign Income
