    Age does it really matter?
OK I have this guy that's my FRIEND... I really like him and want something more with him but he only dates older girls and I'm a year and a few months apart from him but he still sees me as little which makes me mad I told him I liked him one time a while back and he just couldn't get past my age ); we talk about relationships all the time and he always gets these girls that are unsure about everything and I'm just standing here hoping maybe one day I could be at least be an opiontion but nothing... should I leave it or try again?

Just leave it if he's not interested. It seems like age matters to him.

Age plays a part depending on the relationship.
If a man was 30 and dating a 13 years old, I would consider this WRONG.

However, in your situation, I don't see much of a difference.
Age matters to him, like darkdays said, If he's not interested, just leave.

Leave it alone because, he has told you how he feels, so what would be the point in wanting more, when he does NOT?

Maybe he doesn't know you very well. I tend to like older girls because I think they are more mature, most girls of my age only cares about parties and drinking. I'm 18.

I have to say him caring about 1 year and a couple months is ridiculous, and maybe he does like older women but most men who like older women in my opinion wouldn't mind dating someone their own age either.
What is a year and a couple months anyway? I can't even think of an age where that is really that big of a deal. Even children at dating age at all that is not a big deal. And I personally think that he fed you a line of bull crap.
Maybe you just aren't his type and he thought the age line would let you down easy or something. Either way just leave it, its not worth your time. I say this because if he cannot get over that small of an age difference what would he react like if something big like an accident ever happened? He'd melt down if he really has a problem with a year and some months. I just say, not worth your time. He can't be that much of a heart throb. And judging from your picture (I don't know your age) it doesn't look like you should have any problems finding a date. Probably a better looking date than this immature guy who is "older" than you? Maybe physically but not mentally hun, just forget about him.

Maybe he is just using the 'age difference' as an excuse.

But that being said, whatever his excuse is, and that one in particular is pretty lame, he's just not interested.

Let's give him the benefit of the doubt, and he's thinking he's letting you down easy as to not hurt your feelings.

    Hunnie,
That's quiet the spot to be stuck in. I know what it is like for there to be someone you want to be with so badly, but they just can't get over something as silly as the age difference.
I personanlly would talk to him one more time about the two of you beong together & if he still seems completely uninterasted, I know this will be hard, but sweetie you just have got to move on.
