    97 prism no spark to spark plugs
    1997 chevy prism. Getting fuel but has no spark to spark plugs. What is the most common problem

    Most common problem is the ignition coil.

    If replacing the coil (inside the distributor), as kitch428 recommended, does not solve the problem, focus on the rest of the distributor. In most cases, the problem will be with the Ignition Control Module (ICM) or with the distributor itself--internal sensors go bad, which are not serviceable. Your distributor appears to have all of the inherent shortcomings of a Honda distributor--high bearing wear rate and short CKP, TDC, and CYP sensor life. ICMs look to be very expensive for your car. Keep the salvage yard option open.

    I replaced the coil rotor bug and capI betting it was the coil but the items were ugly.
