    Plumbing drain cleanouts
I've been told that the under house drain cleanout is not required by code and can be replaced with a piece of straight pipe. Is that true?

    Hi sketcy:

I'm afraid I'm not understanding what you mean by the straight pipe only.. What will be on the end of the straight pipe?

In terms of code requirements ALL homes are required to have a main drain cleanout within 18-24" of the inside or the outside foundation wall. There are other cleanout requirements/codes as well.

Let us know more on this...
