Honeywell pro 3000 fan stays on
I installed the Honeywell Pro 3000 non-programable t-stat for my heat pump, the stat when satisfied shuts off but after approximately 5 minutes pass and the fan comes on without a change in temp and does not shut off until the room is satisified and it does it over and over again, at wits end please help.
    On stat : E Aux Y G O L R B C

The heat pump is Goodman with wire colors; White, Yellow, Green, Orange, Red, Black & Blue.

    White is strip heater
    Yellow is Compressor
    Green is fan
    Orange is reversing valve
    Red is transformer 24VAC
    Black ?
    Blue is transformer common

Programming issue? Are you using batteries with this stat? The black wire is most likely the common side of transformer, verify that BEFORE you connect it. Blue SHOULDN'T be the common... are you sure about that. Read the "sticky at the top of this forum.

Yes I am using batteries and the blue wire is optional, I have it connected. Black goes to a wire nut in the air handler and changes color before heading to the outdoor unit.
