    Ceiling unit fan turns off but gas valve doesn't
    I have a dayton ceiling hung unit I replaced the thermostat and when it reaches temp. the fan turns off but the gas valve does not it has three thermostat wires that go into two wires how do I fix the promlem of the gas staying on?

    If you disconnect the thermostat, does the valve close?
