    Automatic gearbox problems
I have a 99 honda accord. It is slow to take up the drive... needs 1500 rpm when cold... 2000-2500 rpm when hot. Second gear is missing ? If you drive in normal auto it changes from 1st to second and it grips but then let`s go and the rev`s soar and you go nowhere.
If you use in tiptronic the same happens but it will then get 3rd when selected and slips a bit until the road speed catches up... 4th is then available and is o.k. while accelerating or if road / revs are high... slow down a bit and the engine and gearbox seem to disconnect/ reconnect dependent on the road / revs. You can drive in third and it stays connected, possibly because the revs are higher. You can feel the torque converter locking up at higher speeds as expected. Do I have a bunched torque converter and worn clutches... obviously 2nd gear clutch ?
