    Problems with distributor on 1990 honda accords
    I have a 1990 honda accord from which it runs great for about 10miles then the s indicator light comes on and it begins to sputter.I would like to know what this means.I looked at the led light under he passenger side carpet and it reads code 4.I looked it up and it appears to be (CKP)CRANK ANGLE SENSOR.butwhen I called about the parts they tell me I have to replace the whole distibutor I'm trying to find out if this is the right way to do it or am I being give the run around.please tell me something someone.

    They gave you the correct information. The CKP, CYP, and TDC sensors inside the distributor are unserviceable. Since over 50% of new aftermarket distributors for Hondas have not worked at AMHD, I recommend that you only install a genuine Honda distribitor housing. It's fine to install, however, an aftermarket ICM and coil in the new housing, to keep costs down. Here's how to replace the distributor:
