    My electric 1981 wesco furnace won't turn off
    I replaced the thermostat today with a simple Lux thermostatand it is still running once I turn the breaker on again.

    Disconnect thermostat wires. If it still runs then the problem is with the sequencer or relay in the unit. If it no longer runs then it is a problem with the thermostat wiring or wires.
