How can I give up my father rights.. baby momma is a lazy.. I live in California
OK I live in California.. I have a 2 year old daughter I see her 2-3 times a month I have child support at the time but I don't have a job because no ones hiring... she don't work because she gets money from the state... but that's going to come out my pocket when I get a job.. how can I give up my rights... the sad thing is that she has a boyfriend I'm not jealous I just get mad because she tells my daughter to call him dad and when I call her to talk to her the baby calls me by his name... I just don't want the little growing up confused... I love her and all but it also hurts me when I hear his name instead of mine :(

For one thing she is 2. You have to keep that in perspective. For another when was the last time you went to court for custody? Also you really need to find a job and start paying your support. If it looks at all like your avoiding it then they can arrest you.

Please pay more attention to posting guidelines. There is a Read First sticky in the Children forum (where this was moved from) that directs questions of a legal nature to this forum.

Many forums have sticky notes with guideline for using this site and answers to frequently asked questions. Had you followed the instruction you might have seen the sticky about relinquishing rights.

Bottom line, you can't. No court will allow you to just give up your rights. Especially not to get out of paying support.

So you need to make the best of it and be a father to your daughter.
