    How to get off probation because I am indigent
    I have been laid off for one year and I'm bipolar have no family to help me with anything and I'm staying with my girlfriend, barely. I finished my 300 hrs of community service and have paid 2,000 of a 6,000 dollar fine. Some guy on parole kicked in my apt door and tired to rob me, I stabed him with a samuri sword but did not kill him. I wasn't on my meds but I get in trouble. One yr later he robbes a bank and gets caought. I can't even make in life little less pay probation. Can I calim indigent preson an get off probation?

    What would being a poor person (indigent) have to do with releasing your probation?

    Just being poor is no excuse to get off probation. Sorry. Won't work.

    No. You cannot get off probation just because you are broke or poor. Won't work.

    Also, if you had been ordered to do 300 hours of community service and pay $6,000 fine, the Judge was very serious when he ordered that you be put on probation versus sit in prison for what you did.

    If you weren't too broke and poor to stab the guy you aren't too broke and poor to finish the terms of your probation. It's a hard fact of life.
