 We just bought this house. I don't know a lot about the well system, but we have some kind of issue - hopefully someone can help. We moved in Sunday (11/8). I did a load of laundry and we lost water. We primed the pump and regained water on Monday. Everything was working fine. My son, myself...

 I bought a house out in the country. My washing machine is in the basement and drains into the sump pump. The washing machine water is then pumped out to a drainage ditch. Is there anything I should be worried about. I've live in the house for a year and haven't had any problems... just curious.

 I have a Whirlpool washing machine, and am pretty sure I need to replace the motor coupler. I got the cabinet off; unclipped the pump (removed the hoses -- oops, probably didn't have to do that); and it LOOKS like the pump could be coaxed off the motor -- and it almost does.
