I have been accepted for college in March, but I need to have a criminal record check to attend my program, It is suposs to be a "vonural persons" record. I have recently been charged with theft under 5000 in November 2009 I have gone through the court and have been referred to Devertion Court but that isn't until the 28th of January. So I guess my question is if there is a pending change on my record can the school see it when I get my criminal record check? If so does theft under 5000 count againist me for a vonural persons criminal check? Thank you

Depending on where they run the check out, yes there is a chance, you willl not be sure until they run it.
Checks can be done though dozens of private companies who often can see records not always available though government background checks

Thank you for replying I live in Ontario.. And the school has asked me to provied a clean criminal record check by the end of April at the latest.. like I have to go and get it. Is there a cost for a check? I want to provide one to them ASAP But I'm sure if I wait until April it will be off.. Also for devertion court for theft under 5000 if you are over 18 what do they do? Will they just have we watch a videio? And then that same day it will be off my record or does it take time? Thank you again for taking the time to read my question and replying
