My husdband owned both of his buisnesses before we were married so do I have any invested interest in them after just one year of marriage? Also we both own a home together, I am on the deed of trust, will he have to buy me out of the home to be able to keep it as sole ownership?

Ask a lawyer, but it's unlikely if they are solely in his name and you haven't put any of your own money into them.

If you are on the deed to the house then you have an interest, by definition.

Given the non specific nature of Washington State law, I would strongly recommend consulting an attorney if you feel you need to get a divorce.

The general rule of thumb is for a marriage of short duration it would only be for 1/2 the length of the marriage. In this case maybe 6 months. But really after only 1 years time its not likely your going to get any.
