Health department for my nieghbors dog poop
I've just bought a house in baltimore county and I since noticed that my neighbor has 3 big dogs and that they let them poop all in the yard without picking it up at all. It smells so bad that you can only sit outside for 5min at a time. It's a small yard and it looks like at least 30 to 40 miles of poop everywhere. Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem

You can call up the Health Dept first and speak with them about this problem. You can also contact the ASPCA and speak with the Dog Warden and see if this condition would qualify about the animals living in unclean conditions. Do they have access to food and water? Are they kept outdoors at all times or just let outside to poop?

Personally I'd talk to the neighbors first, tell them your concerns. You have to live next door to these people, if the situation can be resolved without involving an outside authority, that's the best way.

Now, if you do talk to them and they don't do anything about it, then I'd go Twinkies route. :)

How large a yard, this is just how it is out in the burbs, at least where I am at.

    Same here.

We have three dogs and a not bad size yard, but, in the winter it's simply too cold and too icy to pick up dog poo on a regular basis. We do go out and pick up what we can, heaven forbid that it snows though, because then it's all covered and you have to wait for it to melt.

Nice thing is, no one goes outside in the winter and the poo freezes so it doesn't smell, until spring.

As soon as the weather turns warm we're outside every day cleaning up the yard.

This year my son gets to help. :)

Yes, my one neighbor next door has two dogs, the one on the other side has one. The two across the street one has three, the other two,

They are all out in the yards loose and no poop is ever picked up, mowed over, decomposed into the ground.

If you called anyone here on the poop smell, they would really just laugh at you.

These dogs are not mistreated, they stay outside and are fed and watered properly. They are just outside dogs

My dogs are indoor dogs but of course they go outside to poo and pee. We don't allow that in the house. ;)

We do pick it up because we want to use our yard, not have it be one big doggy dump.

My neighbors wouldn't think of complaining and you're right Chuck, if they did I'd just laugh. There's only a lot of poo in the winter. It's cold in Canada! ;)
