Single senior female needs grant for new roof
I'm very low income and my house was built in the 60's. My roof was improperly done and is now damaging the ceiling in places. I cannot afford to repair it but doing nothing is creating more damage. Any help out there?

I can see getting reduced income help for general repairs, but not for major repairs and expensive material like roofing material furnished free. You could contact Habitat for Humanity though and try them.

    Hi, gmominprattville!

Around where I live, we have what's called Project Now. It's a community action agecy that helps people with low income to do major repairs.

    Here's the link.

    Project NOW

Perhaps is you contact them, they might know of a similar agency around where you're located?

    Thanks!

    What about your homeowner's insurance?

As a member of Habitat for Humanity, I can tell you that we only BUILD homes, we do not repair them.
