My 1990 Honda Just died doing 45 mph
I have a 1990 Hoda civic that was dying at the stop light some times but would always restart. Now it died at about 45 mph and will not start. It is getting spark & it is getting fuel... seems like a lot of fuel my plugs were pretty wet. Any Ideas??

If the CEL comes on and goes off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

The ICM and coil are easily replaced and reduce the cost of fixing the car. If you decide to replace the whole distributor, which is a good but more expensive idea, only buy a genuine Honda product. I say this because over 50% of new aftermarket distributors for Hondas have not worked.

TxGreaseMonkey... you were dead on thank you very much! Didn't have a lot of money or time so I went out to the junk yard (Pick&Pull) pulled a distributor paid $47.00 came home put it in & she runs better than ever. They will buy the old one back for $5.00 so $42.00 and I'm back on the road. Thank You so much for the advice... }:¬)

Very nice job! Reminds me of my Air Force days, when we would cannibalize aircraft to prevent a NORS situation.
