    One year and fever
    My daughter has been running a fever of 101.7 since last night
    Started at ten. We have been giving her meds and it not working
    I don't know what to do

    If the meds aren't working to bring her fever down, and she appears to be quite young if that is she in the picture, then you should be seeking medical help. She is too young to wait for an answer here.

    Are you giving her Tylenol AND motrin? Alternating the 2? If so, and that's not working, you need to seek medical attention.

    Okay thanks. In four hours I'm going to give her more if it doesn't work to the er we go. :/ thank you

    Is she having any other symptoms? You can give Tylenol, then 2 hours later Motrin, then 2 hours later Tylenol... etc.

    You don't need to wait 4 more hours before giving more meds.

    A little cough. I mean she playing and running around the house. And has this fever. I don't understand it. She acting like a little one year old.

    Keep alternating the tylenol and motrin every 2 hours. Doesn't sound like it's time for a trip to the ER yet. If MY one year old had this fever with few other symptoms, I would hold off going to the ER yet. Remember, this could be a transient thing and will resolve on its own. The ER is full of sick people, so you'll be risking her getting something else.

    For us to diagnose the cause of the fever, the child has to have that fever for over 24 hours.
