Keep toilet pipes clear of fecal matter
The toilets used by me teenage sons are constantly plugged up. We plunge them etc and eventually we get them to work again. My Dad come down and he (and my kids) took off the toilet and he rootered it out. Apparently there was hard fecal matter encrusted on the pipes which did not allow the toilet to empty. They cleared all that up but now the questions is, how do I keep my teenage sons' pooh from clogging up the pipes again. I have told them to pinch, flush, pinch, flush, but apparently that does not work. I have seen some of their creations clogging up the toilet and I can tell you they are large in all directions. Can I use septic cleaner occasionally to keep the pipes clear? Or do I just resolve myself to constantly reaming out the toilet pipes every once in a while?

Yours is a novel complaint. You could increase the water level in the tank to 1/2" under the white overflow tube or, if you have those newer 1.6 gallon tanks, you could look to change to a larger tank. This would give you more volume to wash the solids out to the main with. **OR**
You could simply quit feeding the boys so much. Good luck, Tom
