    I went to the hospital last night and my heart rate monitor was doing down
    I went to the hospital last night for chest pains and my heart rate machine kept dropping down like every 20 min and they couldn't explain why can anybody help please

    What exactly do you mean that they could not explain it?

    Do you mean that:
    1) They thought the machine was acting funny? Sometimes those machines can go a little erratic or pick up the wrong rate. If so, they should have switched to another machine to get better results.

    Or

    2) It was a health issue they have never seen before? If so, they should have referred you to a cardiologist.

    Were you referred to a cardiologist?

    If they just let you go home without any diagnosis or explanation, I would want to see a specialist.
