    Tile work
    I'm planning to replace my kitchen countertop finish from porcelain tile to marble tile. Would it be better if I scrape all the existing tiles or removed the whole countertop board?what is the most cost effective way of doing this?

    The proper way is to start fresh. Do it right the first time because if not it will cause problems in the long run.

Hi, I want to put a ceramic tile floor in the bathroom. Presently there is 5/8 inch pressedboard for flooring with 1/2 in plywood subfloor. Can I put down a 1/4 in backerboard and tile, or due I have to cut out the 1st level of pressed board ? Thanks Tim:confused:
