    Back of dryer hot
    Hi there,

I just bought a used washer/dryer set, and though I was told by the seller they both worked fine, the dryer seems to have some issues. It is a Frigidaire model FDE546RES1. First, there is quite a squeal when it runs, and from looking around online I'm led to believe it is the rear bearing. I found a post giving the part number for what I'd need for that... The second thing is that when looking for the source of the squeal, I noticed that the back of the dryer was extremely hot. I also saw an area where the metal is discolored/scalded, and that's the hottest point. Is that amount of heat normal? What may be causing that? Did I get taken on this dryer? Thanks for your help.
