    Electrical outlets not working
We just got a backsplash installed in our kitchen and now the electric outlets are not working on one one wall of the kitchen and one wall in the dining room which is connected to kitchen. We just removed the covers and did not touch the wiring. We have checked the wiring in the outlets and they all are fine. We have tried reseting the switch in the fuse box, but that did not work. Does it mean that the switch in the fuse box is not working? Please help.

Could be the breaker. Things happen coincidentally sometimes. I would more suspect that something got jiggled along the way and loosened up a connection. A non-contact voltage tester would be a good way to find which box has power in it and that would be the place to start. If you are not comfortable working on live electrical circuits, just call a professional. It shouldn't take them very long to fix you up. That is, if I understood your post correctly. If you didn't provide all details, I could be all wrong.

Are any of the outlets GFI? If so press the reset button.

Over the past few months, several wall electrical outlets in my home have stopped working. On some it's not the entire outlet, just one of the plug-ins. Also, some outlets seem to be "hotter" than others. I know this because I have plug-in room fresheners and some run out a lot quicker than...

Electrical Outlets Not Working [ 1 Answers ]

I recently started updating outlets in my home. Three of them in the livingroom don't work. Actually one does, just the top plug. Interesting enough, this particular outlet has two ground wires instead of one like all the other outlets in the house. The outlets have two black and two white wires....

Hi Everyone A wall of electrical outlets in my kitchen just stopped working. They were working just fine about a month ago. I tried checking the circuit box, and turning the circuits on/off just to make sure anything that has been tripped was turned on back again. But it didn't work for the...

Electrical outlets not working [ 2 Answers ]

I was updating a rental property that I recently purchased and decided to replace the outlets and light switches as they had been painted over many times. Out of the 15 outlets I changed, four are not working and I have no idea why. A couple of them (the ones that are not working) are connected...
