    Concrete steps
    I am pouring 7 concrete steps, 42" wide, between a concrete retaining wall and a concrete block wall. What would be the best thing to use on each side for expansion?

    Why are you concerned about expansion? The concrete wil;l not get bigger than when it is poured. You need to be concerned about bearing(support). You said you are pouring between walls but what is supporting under the bottom step?
