    Remove cover on B&S Lawn Tractor engine
    How do I remove cover to get to the solonoid/starter on Briggs and Stratton 13.5 hp lawn tractor engine?

    The solenoid and starter are in different locations. Depending on the make and model of tractor the solenoid could be in two or three different places. The starter is bolted on the right side of the engine. To access it you will have to remove the two small screws from the black plastic cover. (you may have to remove the screw in the dipstick tube too) After the cover is removed you should easily be able to get to starter.
