Dishwasher trouble
Hi again -
My dw is not outputting enough h20 to make the thing spin. I watched it with the door open and water bubbled slowly out of all the holes, but not with enough pressure to spin it. Happened a few days ago and a jiggle of the spinner got it going again. Not this time. Any ideas? A seal, maybe?

Tell me again how you were able to observe the arm not spinning but with water coming out of the holes.

I pushed the button in that gets pushed when the door is shut, moved the lock lever over while the door was opened and put the dial on start. It started. I know the water isn't flowing when it's closed because I open it and it's basically dry in there. Also-there is no internal water rushing sound. I'll have to check again when it does it again (it's working again) but I think I also don't hear the water supply hiss sound as well as the internal splashing, but I need to confirm.

Front left corner behind the kick plate will reveal a solenoid fill valve with your hot supply line running to it. With kick plate removed touch the solenoid and then have someone push the putton to start the unit. You should feel a small thump as the valve opens and then you will feel the valve heat up as hot water rushes in. no thump, no heat means no water is entering the unit.

Water does not Spin inside DishWaher. It is sucked out.
There is a screen in front of the pump. You may have food particles that block most of the screen. Water is not exiting fast enough. Also, inspect discharge hose for kinks and/or garbage disposer inlet for being obstructed with corrosion or food.

Milo, she says its basically dry so I am thinking no water gets past the solenoid. If the screen was plugged we'd have a good stand of water in the sump of the DW
