Agree who or how is it being used, I could see the leader of a linch mob saying it, after they hang someone because he was found not guilty in court, ( they would think that they did bring justice to the crime)

Furtherance of justice
I have received a copy of my fbi rap sheet and I have some drug possession case on it.two of the case have furtherance of justice on them.I was sentence 180 days a piece on them and they run them concrent.what does the furtherance of justice mean??

Criminal background check
On my fbi rap sheet I have 3 drug possession cases on it.I was sentence 180 days a piece on them and they ran them concrent. On 2 of them it says furtherance of justice.

It's like I said above. The judge COULD have sentenced you to CONSECUTIVE sentences... He didn't think you deserved it, though, so "in furtherance of justice", he sentenced you to CONCURRENT sentences...
The judge is supposed to seek justice. He thinks he did, and said so in his sentencing documents. I don't know WHY background services are reporting those words, but it makes no MATERIAL difference in your background.
