    Wiring Issue - GFI Involved
    Hi Folks!

    Here's my issue:

I have a GFI in my garage that has a wire jumping out of it to power another receptacle also in the garage. When anything is plugged into the GFI, it trips thus killing the power to the other receptacle. When I pull out the other set of wires from GFI, the GFI holds. Inside the GFI box and other receptacle box, wires are secure and don't appear to be touching. Also, in the receptacle that is fed by GFI, there are two sets of wires. I was hoping to only see one set of wires. I have no idea where the other set goes. It's just daisy-chained along somewhere else. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot further?
    Thanks much!

Want to tell me what that means?

Probably goes to an exterior outlet(s). Find exterior outlet and see what happens when something is plugged in. Probably trip GFI.
