    Washer connections
    I bought a used washer, but it only has one hose. Whirlpool model. I was told that the hose serves as both a hot and cold supply. To connect the hose on the cold side.

    I have never heard of this. If you connect it to the cold side at the washer what do you connect to at the wall where the water connections are. Do you have two faucets to connect to if you do I think that you will need two hoses one for hot and one for cold

    It doesn't make much sense to me to wash dishes in cold water. I suspect a built in water heater is included in the DW. Regards, Tom

    We need some help, like the model because we are spaculating:

    1. Built in heater like Tom said
    2. It's designed as a portable washer to be used with a sink, but you would not have control of the wash and rinse temps.

    So, I agree with Tom

    Question remains: when poster says "Washer" , does she/he means Dishwasher or Washing Machine ?

    Yes, as Tom says, some DW - like some EU models - have single hose supply. They have their own heating element.
