    I need instructions on lighting the pilot on a trane gas furnace xe60 if it can be done yourself

    You might check this item below and have a good look at your model number.

    Furnace Recall

    BTW it is a good possibility that your furnace does not have a standing pilot but rather a spark ignition or ignitor system.
