    Water Heater pilot lighting
    My pilot light is out- when I tried to light it and large flame came out at me, then went out.
    What can I do?

    Turn the knob to off and wait 5 minutes, turn the knob to pilot. Now use a long fireplace match or the like, light the match push and hold the button. Keep holding the button for about 30 seconds until the thermocouple has a cahnce top heat up and keep the flame, now turn to ON.
