    Power Steering Line
I have a 1998 Honda Accord, 2.3L V-Tec. I am attempting to remove the pressure line from the power steering system. It's in a very tight spot and I'm wondering what would be the easiest way to do this?

Try offset flare wrenches or crow foot flare wrenches.

The problem is, I can't see where I would even place the crows foot. Is there anything I need to remove to get in there?

I'm not familiar enough with your car, to say for sure. It sounds like you may have to drop the rack & pinnion assembly for access. That's what I have to do on my Taurus. I recommend that you obtain use of a lift, before proceeding. If you are in the Navy, there may be a auto hobby shop on base.

Here's a link on another car that may give you some idea of what you are up against:

Driving w/out Power Steering [ 1 Answers ]

Due to a leak in the power steering cooler line on my '92 Honda Civic, I disconnected the PS pump until I can find replacement parts. Is it safe to drive the car w/out power steering? Will that put an undue strain on any steering components? Thanks.
