    Child Support- TX Insurance requirements
I pay child support in the sate of TX. I know I have to provide health insurance for my child and I am doing this. The mother/child live in a different city, 200 miles away from me. I also cover my current wife and our son's health insirance through my work. I keep getting letters from the insurance company that the ex keeps taking him to see specialists outside of our netwrok which are not covered. How much coverage do I have to provide for them? I need to choose a plan that covers my new family, and I know that my ex is still receiving Medicaid so only using the insurance sometimes. As long as I am providing some coverage... it doesn't matter if the ex has to pay out of netwrok costs?

Hey I live in TX too and when that happened to me also the judge made her pay that portion. He viewed it as a malicious act on her part, due to the fact there was an abundance of doctors in her area that were in the network! Yeah one for me and you. At the very most you'd be liable for half and that's A FACT!

I pay child support right now, and I have until the end of the year to start finding health insurance too. So that means I have to pay the child support plus the extra cost of the medical insurance each month. Is this correct? Or is their something I don't know about?
