Wrongful Felony Charge
In April of 2008, I stole a truck from a dealership. It was a stupid act of desperation. Now a year and a half later my fiancée, who honestly had no idea the truck was stolen, was pulled over and arrested on felony charges. I will turn myself in tomorrow for the theft. How do I ensure the charges are dropped on her or is that even possible?

You can not ensure the charges against her are dropped. However, do not volunteer any information to the police or prosecution until you speak with your lawyer. It is possible what you say will be used against you both.
If there is no proof against her, any statement you make may hurt her. If there is proof against her, any thing you say will certainly hurt her. Invoke your right to remain silent, until you seak with an attorney.
If the proof against her is weak, the prosecutor should move to dismiss the case.

Might not be that easy as she was in possession of the stolen vehicle. More than likely they will charge both of you. You for stealing it and she for being in possession. Same thing applies when cops find dope in your car and you claim it isn't yours. They don't care. It was in your possession when they arrested you. Same with the truck. They don't care. Your girlfriend was driving it. The fact it was stolen is irrelevant. They don't care.
How did you possibly elude the police for that long with a stolen truck? How did you get plates? Just curious.

Just keep in mind, that, they may be willing to work with you. I would strongly suggest talking to a lawyer, they would have the best advice.

Convincing the cops to buy your story won't be that easy... consult an attorney first. This is not a DIY situation.

Hello m:
Don't talk to the cops WITHOUT hiring a lawyer first.

Yes, don't go to the cops tomorrow, go to an attorney first, The cops are not there to help you but get a confession. And your friend is a easy coniction, they were in a stolen vechile, that is a crime merely into itself. And it is hard to prove they did not know it.
So get an attorney who will make a deal with the DA for your confession, if they drop charges against her.
