    Migraine triggers?
I have had migraine since I was 16. Now 30, I know I’ve been through some methods but nothing helped my migraine as much as fioricet. Of course, I take it when I know a bad one’s going to hit me. I kept a trigger diary to jot down any possible thing that may have caused the trigger. Upon checking the diary, I noticed that it almost always happens when I skipped a meal, or when I didn’t have enough sleep. So from there, I make sure I have enough sleep and carry with me in the field so that I eat on time and on a regular basis. How about you? What are your triggers and your preventive methods?

You need to switch to Fiorinal which has aspirin instead of the Tylenol which is bad for your liver. Also, depending on how much Fioriset you are taking I would definitely have your doctor order a liver function test done. It's a simple blood test that can see if any liver damage has occurred so far. I took Fiorinal for 11 years and near the end of my taking it I had to have a liver function test done every 6 months to be sure my liver was okay.

Also, stress has a lot to do with triggering a migraine. Have you been getting what I call "end of the week" migraines waking up on Saturday morning with a doozie of a headache?

Also, any foods such as lunchmeat or bacon can trigger migraines. Red wine, cigarette smoke, perfume, loud noise (although some people call it music) can also cause migraines.

Also, if you have poor circulation this can cause a migraine condition. I have/had poor circulation and a lot of my problems were caused by this. I did have migraines caused by a disc indenting on my spinal cord from a car accident (that's when I was taking the Fiorinal for 11 years).

I had my migraines diagnosed only after having a MRI performed to be sure I did not have a brain tumor. I was then under the care of a neurologist who treated me with Elavil and Inderal. I took the Elavil at night and the Inderal during the daytime. My migraines went away within 9 months and never returned. The car accident "migraines" were actually the radiating pain from my neck injury.

I don't take anything now for my headaches except for an occasional Excedrin as I don't have migraines or the "neck-migraines" any longer.

Mine are hormonal. It’s my PMS. Very bad headaches before my monthly period. Try placing a wet towel on the face to help relax yourself. Have you tried fioricet? It’s my pain med. You can ask your doctor about it. All the best.

The keyboard on my laptop has recently started to go a bit crazy.
