    Stopping child support
    My child is 21 years old. I live in New york city. I want to stop the order I waz told that I have to go back to court in order to stop it is this true

    Yes. There should be an automatic end to child support and you SHOULD be able to simply stop paying I've seen fathers - and I'm also in NY - pulled into Court for failure to pay.

    My suggestion is that you contact the Court and ask. A lot depends on your relationship with your "x."

    True. In Ohio I know that you have to keep paying child support until a judge orders you to stop paying it regardless of how old the kid is. Unbelieveable!
