Harbor breeze ceiling fan motor died
I have a 52" Harbor Breeze ceiling fan. Can't seem to find the model or any paperwork as it was already installed when I moved in. Was cleaning fan this a.m. turned fan off to do it. Turned fan back on, heard a crackling noice in motor area, & fan won't work. The light kit still works. Any point in trying to fix, or should I just get a new one?

    Thanks

Open up the switch housing, check for burn marks to see if anything has come loose. You might be able to find the offender that way. Capacitor or reverse switch are also likely culprits.
